UPON ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, A
PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING
APPROXIMAiTELY 168 FEET EAST OF UBALA
~ ROAD A~ APPROXIMATELY 1460 FEET NORTH

SECTION 171. 044, FLORDA STATUTES.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1390 passed and adopted by the
City Commission on September 12, 1977 was quashed and declared of no
further force and effect on November 28. 1977 'by the Circuit Court of the
Eighteenth Judicial Circuit. in and for Seminole County, Florida in ~hat
certain case entitled County of Seminole, State of Florida. vs. City of
Sanford, a Florida municipal corporatlon~ Case No. 77-2015-AP-01-E. and
WHEREAS, ';~the County ' Comm is s ion of Sere [nole County.
Florida. has advised the City Commission of the City of Sanford. Florida,
that it has no o'bjectlon to ~he a~exation of the property hereinafter descr['bed,
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been advised that it is
necessary that a new ordinance be adopted to appropriately annex the'property
hereinafter described into the corporate limits of the City of Sanford, Florida, and
WHEREAS, there:has 'been filed w[th the City Clerk of the
City of Sanford, Florida, a petition containing the names of the property
owners in the area described here inafter requesting annexation to the corporate
area of the City of Sanford, Florida, and requesting to 'be included therein; and
WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Seminole County, Florida,
having certified that there are four property owners in the area to be annexed,
and that said property owners have signed the petition for annexat[on; and
WHEREAS, it has been determhned that the property described
here ~nafter is reasonably compact and contiguous to the corporate area
of the City of Sanford, Florida, and it has further been determined that
the annexation of said property will not result in the creation of an enclave;

WHEREAS, the City of Sanfor~, Florida, is in a position to
-- ~provide municipal services to the property described here in, and the City
~ ~ Commissldn:-vof the City of Sanford, Florida, deems it in the best interest
of the City to accept said petition and to a~ex said property.
NOW, TEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF
TE C~Y OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that certain property in Sem~ole County,
Florida, described as' follows 'be and the same is hereby a~exed to and
made a part of the City of Sanford, Florida, pursuant to the voluntary a~exa-
tion provis ions of Section 17 1.044, Florida Statutes:
The South 250 feet of Lot 46, NEW UPSALA, accord-
ing to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 1,
page 67, of the Public Records of Seminole County,
Florida, Less the West 168 feet thereof; AND the
North 30 feet of Lot 48, said NEW UPSALA, Less
the East 250 feet and Less the West 168 feet; AND
the North 1/6 of said Lot 48, Less the North 30 feet
and Less ~he East 250 feet ~d Less the West 368 feet.
SECT'ION 2. Thai upon this ordinance becoming effective, the
res [dents and property ow*ners of the property described here in shall be entitled
to all the rights ~d privileges and immunities as are from time to time
granted to residents and property owners of the City of Sa~ord, Florida,
and as are further provided in Chapter 171, Florida Statutes~'
'SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall 'become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
