AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, co
CLOSING, VACATING, AN D ABANDONING THAT CERTAIN --
14' WIDE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY LYING BE~EEN W. 3"D
STREET AND W. 4TH STREET AND BE)EEN MYRTLE
AVENUE AND ELM AVENUE; AND RESERVING A
D~INAGE AND UTILI~ EASEMENT OVER THE ENTIRE
ALLEY; PROVIDING FOR SEVE~BILI~, CONFLICTS
AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the City of Sanford to close, vacate
and abandon that ce~ain 14' wide noah-south alley lying be~een W 3~u Street and W. 4
Street and between Myrtle Avenue and Elm Avenue in the City of Sanford, Florida, and
rese~ing a drainage and utility easement over the entire alley; and
WH EREAS, a public hearing was held on December 11,2000, for ~nsideration and~
determination as to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning that ce~ain 14'
wide noah-south alley lying between W. 3~" Street and W. 4~ Street and between My~le
Avenue and Elm Avenue in the City of Sanford, Florida, should be allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and
abandoning of that ce~ain prope~y does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the
City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfo~, order, convenienc~
and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CI~
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That ce~ain 14' wide noah-south alley lying be~een W. 3rd Street
and W. 4th Street and be~een My~le Avenue and Elm Avenue in the City of Sanford,
Florida, more pa~icularly described as follows:
