AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
DELETING SECTION '18%-'13, ARTICLE II, PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF SAN FORD TO ELIMINATE TERM LIMITS
FOR BOARD MEMBERS, PROVIDING FORSEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS, CODIFICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WH EREAS, the City of Sanford City Commission deems it in the best interest of the
City to delete Section 18%-13, Article II, Planning and Zoning Commission of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Sanford to eliminate term limits for board members.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Section 18%-13, Re-appointment, Article II, Planning and Zoning
Commission, is hereby deleted in its entirety.
SECTION 2: Severability. If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance
proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional it shall not be held to impair the validity,
force or effect of any other section or part of a section of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: Conflicts. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: Codification. It is the intention of the City Commission of the City of
Sanford, Florida, and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this Ordinance shall
become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sanford, Florida; that
the Sections of this Ordinance may be renumbered or relettered to accomplish such
intention; that the word, "Ordinance," may be changed to "Section," "Article," or other
appropriate word.
SECTION 5: Effective Date, That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
