AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 3312, AND ITS AMENDMENTS, AND ADOPTING AN
AMENDED CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS, AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, deems it necessary to
amend the Classification and Pay Plan to authorize the City Manager the authority to make
temporal_ work week adjustments from a 37.5 hour work week to a 40 hour work week in cases
whereby an employee is serving in the capacity of Department Head until such time as that position
(Department Head) is filled.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the preceding clauses are adopted as fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2: That the terms of Ordinance No. 3312 are hereby mended.
SECTION 3: That Ordinance No. 3312 be and the same is hereby amended to provide that
the revisions to the Classification and Pay Plan attached hereto as Exhibit "A" are incorporated
herein by reference and are made part of this Ordinance as fully and completely as though it was
fully set forth herein.
SECTION 4 SEVERABILITY: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5 CONFLICT: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to
be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of
any other section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
