AN ORDINANCE OF THE CI~ OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, TO
ANN~ WITHIN THE CORPO~TE AREA OF THE CI~ OF
SANFORD, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, A m
PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPER~ LYING BE~EEN n
HIBISCUS DRIVE AND POINSETTA DRIVE AND BETWEEN
PALMWAY AND SANFORD AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE VOLUNTARY ANNE~TION PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 171.0~, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR
SEVE~BILI~, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Sanford, Florida,
a petition containing the name of the properly owner in the area described hereinafter
requesting annexation to the corporation area of the City of Sanford, Florida, and
requesting to be included therein; and
WHEREAS, the Prope~y Appraiser of Seminole Count, Florida having ce~ified that
there is one prope~y owner in the area to be annexed and that said prope~y owner has
signed the Petition for Annexation; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the prope~y described hereinaffer is
reasonably compact and contiguous to the corporate areas of the City of Sanford, Florida,
and it has fu~her been dete~ined that the annexation of said prope~y will not result in the
creation of any ericlave; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida, is in a position to provide municipal
services to the prope~y described herein, and that the City Commission of the City
Sanford, Florida, deems it in the best interest of the City to accept said petition and to
annex said prope~y.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CI~ OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the prope~y described below, situated in Seminole County,
Florida, be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a pa~ of the City of Sanford,
Florida, pursuant to the volunta~ annexation provisions of Section 171.044, Florida
Statutes:
Lot 16, Block 1, Flora Heights, according to the plat thereof as
recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 19, of the Public Records of
Seminole County, Florida.
SECTION 2: That upon this Ordinan~ becoming effedive, the prope~y owners and
any residents on the prope~y described herein shall be entitled to all the rights and
privileges and immunities as are from time to time granted to residents and property
owners of the City of Sanford, Florida, as further provided in Chapter 171, Florida Statutes,
and shall further be subject to the responsibilities of residence or ownership as may from
time to time be determined by the governing authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, a~d
the provisions of said Chapter '171, Florida Statutes. z --

SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to

invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect
of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
