AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, TO
ANNEX WITHIN THE CORPO~TE AREA OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, A
PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN
OREGON AVENUE SOUTH AND PAOLA ROAD AND BETWEEN
RINEHART ROAD AND ~OOD DRIVE~ IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE VOLUNTARY ANNE~TION PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 171.O4~, FLORIDA STATUTES~ PROVIDING FOR
SEVE~BILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, ~ere h~ been filed with the Ci~ Clerk of the Ci~ of S~nford, Florida, ~ petition
confining ~e n~me of ~e pro~e~ owner in the ~rea described hereinkier requesting ~nne~on to
the corporate ~rea of ~e Ci~ of S~nford, Florida, ~nd requesting to be included therein~ ~nd
WHEREAS, ~e Proper~ Appraiser of Seminole Count, Flofid~ h~ving certified that ~ere is
one prope~ owner in ~e ~re~ to be ~nnexed and ~t s~id pro~e~ owner h~s signed the Petition for
Anne~tion~ ~nd
WHEREAS, it h~s been determined that the prope~ described hereinkier is reasonably
compact and con~ous to ~e comor~te are~ of the Ci~ of S~nford, Florida, and it h~s further bee~
determined that the annexation of said prope~ will not result in the creation of any enclave; and
WHEREAS, the Ci~ of Sanford, Florida, is in a position to provide municipal seaices
prope~ described herein, and that the CiW Commission of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, deems it in
the best interest of the CiW to accept said petition and to annex said prope~.
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That ~e prope~ de~ribed below, situated in Seminole CounW, Florida, be and
the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, pursuant to ~e
volunDq annexation provisions of Section 171.044, Florida SDtutes:

HEREOF.
SECTION 2: That upon this Ordinance becoming eff~tive, the prope~ owner and any
re~iden~ on [he prope~ described herein shall be endtied [o all ~he ri~ and privileges and
immunities as are from time to time ~anted to residen~ and prope~ owner of the Ci~ of Sanford,
Florida, as further provided in Chapter 171, Florida S~tutes, and shall fu~her be subject to the
responsibilities of residence or ownership as may from time to time be determined by the governing~
au~ority of the Ci~ of Sanford, Florida, and [he provisions of said Chapter 171, Florida S~tutes.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be invalid,~
unlawful or unconstitu~onal, it shall not be held to impair the validly, force or effect of any other
section or part of ~his Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
