AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, TO
ANNEX WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, A r~n
PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN
]EWETT LANE AND HcC~CKEN ROAD AND BETWEEN
PERSImON AVENUE AND WEST AIRPORT BOULEVARD; IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE VOLUNTARY ANNE~TION
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171.044, FLORIDA STATUTES~
PROVIDING FOR SEVE~BILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHERe, ~ere has b~n filed with the CiW Clerk of ~e CiW of Sanford, Florida, a perkion
conBinin~ the name of the prope~ owners in ~e area described hereinaffer requestin~ annexation
[o the corporate area of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, and reques[in~ [o be included ~erein~ and
WHER~S, ~e Prope~ Appraiser of Seminole CounW, Florida havin~ ce~ified that there is
one prope~ owner in ~e area ~o be annexed and ~a[ said prope~ owners have si~ned the Petition
for Annexations. and
WHEREAS, k has been de[e~ined ~at the prope~ described hereina~er is reasonably
compact and cond~ous ~ ~e corporate areas of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, and it has ~her been
de[ermined ~a[ the annexation of said prope~ will not result in the crea~on of any enclave~ and
WHEREAS, the CiW of Sanford, Florida, is in a position to provide municipal se~ices to the
prope~ described herein, and that the CiW Commission of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, deems it in
the best interest of the Ci~ to accept said petition and to annex said prope~.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That ~e prope~ de~bed below, situated in S~inole Count, Florida, be and
the same is hereby annexed [o and made a pa~ of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, pursuant
volunB~ annexdon provisions of Section 171.044, Florida SB[utes:
BLOCK 94 SOUTH OF ~ILROAD, ~.~. SHITH'S SUBDIVISION,
LESS THE BEGINNING AT A POINT 50 FEET NORTH OF THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF BLOCK 94, H.H. SHITH'S
SUBDIVISION, ACCORDING TO THE PLAT THEREOF AS
RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 1, PAGE 55, OF THE PUBLIC
RECORDS OF SEHINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA; AND POINT
BEING ON THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF HcC~CKEN
ROAD AND 15 FEET WEST OF THE EAST LINE OF SECTION 27,

SECTION 2: That upon this Ordinance becoming effective, the property owners and any
residents on the property described herein shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges and
immunities as are from time to time granted to residents and property owners of the City of Sanford,
Florida, as further provided in Chapter 171, Florida Statutes, and shall further be subject to the
responsibi ities of residence or ownership as may from time to time be determined by the governin
authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 171, Florida Statutes.
SECTION ;3: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be invalid,
unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other
section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
