The City Commission consensus was to approve that transition. Unfortunately, each time this issue occurs it represents an amendment to the "Classification and Pay Plan" document and as such, requires an Ordinance. Needless to say, this is a cumbersome process which ties things up needlessly for about a month each time it occurs. In this regard I've drafted a proposed Ordinance that will hopefully eliminate the need for the aforementioned cumbersome process to continue in the future. I believe the proposed Ordinance is clear in irs intent and serves a needed purpose. Should you agree, please place this in line for City Commission approval as soon as possible.
