AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, T0
ANNEX WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, A
PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN "
Ross STREET AND EAST A, RPORT BLVD. AND BETWEEN
HELLONVILLE AVENUE AND SANFORD AVENUE; IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE VOLUNTARY ANNE~TION ~
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171.044, FLORIDA STATUTES~ ~
PROVIDING FOR SEVEhBILITY~ CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE ~"~c
WHEREAS, ~ere has b~n ~led wi~ ~e Ci~ Clerk of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, a petition
conuining ~e name of the prope~ owners in the area described hereina~er requesting annention
~o ~e corporate area of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, and requesting to be included therein; ~d
WHEREAS, ~e Prope~ ~praiser of Seminole CounW, Florida having ce~ified that ear
~o prope~ owne~ in ~e area m be annexed and that said prope~ owners have si~ed the~etitio~
for Annexation; and ~ .
WHEREAS, it has been dete~ined ~at the prope~ described hereina~er is easo ab~
compa~ and cond~ous m ~e cobrate areas of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, and it has ~er been
determined ~at the annexation of said prope~ will not result in the creation of any enclave~ and
WHEREAS, the CiW of Sanford, Florida, is in a position to provide municipal se~ices to the
prope~ described herein, and that ~e Ci~ Commission of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, deems it in
· e best interest of the CiW to accept said petition and to annex said proper~. ~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SA~
FLORIDA:
SE~ION 1: That ~e prope~ d~cribed below, situated in Seminole Count, Florida,~e
the same is hereby annexed to and made a pa~ of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, pursuant to
volunD~ ann~ation provisions of S~tion 171.044, Florida SDtutes:

feet of S 250 feet (less mad)
SECTION 2: That upon ~is Ordinance becoming effec~ve, the prope~ owners and any
residen~ on ~e properW described herein shall be en~tled to all the righ~ and privileges and
immunizes as are ~om time to time granted to residen~ and prope~ owners of the CiW of Sanford,
Florida, as fu~er provided in Chapter 171, Florida SDtutes, and shall further be subject to the
responsibilities of residence or ownership as may from time to time be dete~ined by the governing
authoriW of ~e CiW of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 171, Florida SDtutes.
SECTION 3: If any section or potion of a s~tion of ~is Ordinance proves to be invalid,
unlaw~l or unconsdtutional, it shall not be held to impair the validiW, force or eff~t of any other
section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
