WORK SESSION
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Budget Work
Session on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 3:00 PM, in the City Commission Chambers, 1"
Floor, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.
Present: Mayor Art Woodruff
Vice Mayor Kerry S. Wiggins, Sr.
Commissioner Patrick Austin
Commissioner Patty Mahany
City Manager Norton N. Bonaparte, Jr.
Deputy City Clerk Cathy LoTempio
Absent: City Clerk Traci Houchin
Mr. Bonaparte, City Manager called the meeting to order at 3:03 PM.
1. Introductory remarks by City Manager Norton N. Bonaparte, Jr.
2. Slide Presentation by Cindy Lindsay, Finance Director.
3. Commission questions and discussions on slide presentation.
4. Presentation of each department's budget by Cindy Lindsay (seeking Commission
guidance on what they would like)
o Cindy Lindsay to go over all funds for departments — general, specific and
enterprise.
o Seek Commission questions after each department's budget presented.
5. Open for further Commission discussion.
Mayor Woodruff asked the Fire Department to prepare a Budget Amendment for
the design phase of the new fire station. He asked the staff if it would be possible
to put a temporary freeze on Stormwater fees, and if there could be a reduction in

the minimum charge for water. Mayor Woodruff asked for a list of the Capital
Items. Ms. Lindsay said there will be a Budget Amendment prepared for the July
27, 2020 City Commission Meeting.
6. Commission discussion on the necessity of another meeting and what would be
covered.
No additional meeting is required.
There being no further business, the meeting adiourned at 5:41 PM.
