JUNE 299 2020
SPECIAL MEETING
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special
Meeting on Monday, June 29, 2020, at 4:00 PM, in the City Commission Chambers, 1St
Floor, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.
Present: Mayor Art Woodruff
Vice Mayor Kerry S. Wiggins, Sr.
Commissioner Patrick Austin
Commissioner Patty Mahany
City Manager Norton N. Bonaparte, Jr.
City Attorney William L. Colbert
City Clerk Traci Houchin
Deputy City Clerk Cathy LoTempio
Mayor Woodruff called the meeting to order at 4:07 PM and apologized for
all the confusion.
Legislative Prayer by Octavia Smith of Allen Chapel AME.
Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Woodruff discussed the process of the interviews with the Commission to
ensure everyone agreed.
1. Interviews for District 1 Commissioner
• Tammy Agnini
• Sheena Rena Britton
• Derrick Andre Daniels
• Charles Davis
• Victoria Robinson -Wilson
The Mayor and Commissioners interviewed the above applicants. Ms. Britton had

a brief video presentation and a handout.
At 5:30 PM, Mayor Woodruff adjourned the meeting for a brief recess. At 5:41 PM,
Mayor Woodruff reconvened the meeting.
The Mayor and Commissioner's interviewed the remaining applicants.
At 6:35 PM, Mayor Woodruff adjourned the meeting for a brief recess. At 6:41
PM, Mayor Woodruff reconvened the meeting.
2. Discussion of candidates and vote to select District I Commissioner.
After a brief discussion, the Mayor and Commissioners placed their written
votes and handed them to Mr. Bonaparte, City Manager and Mr. Colbert, City Attorney to
tally. Mr. Bonaparte said the person with three first place votes went to Sheena Britton.
Based on agreed upon process, Commissioner Wiggins moved to appoint
Sheena Britton to District I Commissioner with a term expiring December 2022. Seconded
by Commissioner Mahany and carried by vote of the Commission as follows:

3. Public Comment
Mario Hicks and Mayor Kuhn expressed congratulations.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:58 PM.
