J ani 2U O.& Qcwua 18, 2020 From Date MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR COLLABORATION Between The University of South Florida Board of Trustees for the University of South Florida (USF) The City of Sanford, Florida This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is made and entered into by The University of South Florida Board of Trustees, contracting for the University of South Florida and its College of Public Health (USF) located in Tampa, Florida, and the City of Sanford, Florida, a Florida municipality, through is Police Department, whose address is 815 Historic Goldsboro Boulevard, Sanford, Florida 32771.The parties hereto agree as follows: Purpose: 1. The primary purpose of this MOA is for the parties to collaborate on the development of a general protocol by which cooperative activities of an academic and occupational nature may be implemented. This MOA affects City staff and both USF faculty and students. 2. Recognizing the importance of a mutual collaboration and the contributions to the community made by public institutions, both parties share a desire to develop mutually strengthening and enriching education and research experiences for the City's Police Department staff and USF faculty and students. 3. Faculty and staff will be encouraged to develop contacts and propose collaborative projects. The two institutions will seek internal or extemal resources for support of any projects developed as a result of this MOA. General Provisions: 1. All research, data sharing, and other collaborative activates conducted pursuant to this MOA shall be conducted in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable to the parties, including the laws of the United States of America and the State of Florida, rules and regulations applicable to universities in the State University System of Florida, and regulations and policies of USE 2. This MOA is effective when both parties have signed and terminates at the end of the calendar year 2020. Notice of termination by either party prior to that date must be given at least 90 days in advance. This MOA may modified by the written agreement of both parties at any time before its termination. Nothing within this MOA shall create a financial obligation or cause hardship for either party. 3. Any modification of this MOA must go through Sponsored Research at USF.
