AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING THAT
CERTAIN PORTION OF TROPIC PARK DRIVE LOCATED
BETWEEN COLLINS DRIVE AND C.R. ~F27 AND U.S. 17-92
(ORLANDO DRIVE) AND C.R. 427 IN THE CI~ OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR SEVE~BILI~,
CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an applica~on has been filed wi~ ~e Ci~ of Sanford ~ close, vaca~ and
abandon ~at ce~in po~on of Tropic Drive Ioca~d be~n Collins Drive and C.R. 427 and
U.S. 17-92 (O~ando Drive) and C.R. 427 in ~e Ci~ of Sanford, Florida; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Novemir 9, 1998, for considera~on and
d~inaeon as ~ whe~er or not ~e closing, vaca~ng and abandoning ~at ce~in po~on of
T~ic Drive I~a~d ~n Collins D~e and C.R. 427 and U.S. 17-92 (O~ando Drive) and
C.R. 427 in ~e Ci~ of Sanford, Florida; and
WHEREAS, ~e Ci~ Commission has de~ined ~at ~e closing, vacating and
abandoning of ~at cemin prope~ does not conflict wiffi ~e Comprehensive Plan of
of Sanford, Florida, and ~at ~e public healffi, economy, comfo~, order, convenience, and
welfare will ~ promo~d by such closing, vacating and abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CI~ OF SANFO~,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: ~at po~on of Tropic Drive I~a~d ~n Collins Drive and C.R. 427
and U.S. 17-92 (Orlando Drive) and C.R. 427 in ~e CiW of Sanford, Florida, more
pa~cularly described as follows:
SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO.
~ and ~e same is hereby closed, vacated, abandoned.
SECTION 2: If any ~on or po~on of a s~on of ~is ordinance proves to be invalid,
unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any
other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
