3455 ORDINANCE NO. 3455 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3361 AND ITS AMENDMENTS TO PROVH)E FOR THE AUTHORIZATION OF A TEMPORARY SALARY INCREASE FOR THE POSITIONS OF "ACTING POLICE CHIEF" IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT RETROACTIVE AND EFFECTIVE FROM OCTOBER 26, 1998, AND THE "ACTING HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR" RETROACTIVE AND EFFECTIVE FROM AUGUST 8, 1998, FOR A PERIOD CONSISTENT WITH THE LENGTH OF TIME IN ACTING POSITION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, deems it necessary to provide for the authorization of a temporaxy satiny increase for the positions of "Acting Police Chief' in the Police Department retroactive and effective from October 26, 1998, and the "Acting Human P~esources Director'retroactive and effective from August 8, 1998, for a period consistent with the length of time in acting position. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the preceding clauses are adopted as fully set forth herein. SECTION 2: That the terms of Ordinance No. 3361 are hereby amended. SECTION 3: That Ordinance No. 3361 be and the same is hereby amended to provide that the revisions to the Classification and Pay Plan attached hereto as Exhibit "A" are incorporated herein by reference and are made part of this Ordinance as fully and completely as though it was fully set forth herein. SECTION 4: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of this Ordinance. SECTION 5: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked. SECTION 6: That this Ordinance shall become effective upon passage and adoption.
