Approve Resolution No. 2891, to amend the budget and a purchase order to Neel Schaffer, Inc. for the GIS Stormwater Data Survey Phase II in an amount not to exceed $150,000. Mr. Groot said it was good to see everyone and expressed how wonderful the Lien Amnesty Program is. 10) CITY CLERK'S REPORT. Traci Houchin, City Clerk, reminded the Commission they need to present something to the former Mayor. She asked how the Commission would like to advertise the Charter Referendum. Mayor Woodruff suggested post cards like the City did the last time. 11) CITY MANAGER'S REPORT. Mr. Bonaparte commended and congratulated Commission Austin and Commissioner Mahany on the election. 13) CITIZEN'S PARTICIPATION CITY COMMISSION MINUTES AUGUST 24, 2020 REGULAR MEETING Nakim Person asked the City to look closer at marketing materials, magazines and project signs to ensure they include diversity. He pointed out a few marketing materials that should be changed. Danielle Adams asked if the City had a Diversity Board. Commissioner Britton said the City does have diversity boards that they need to keep moving forward with their ideas. Commissioner Mahany said the Citizen's Academy is not a board; however, that is a diversified class. Mario Hicks said he is very disappointed on the vote for the residency requirements and felt as it was just a slap in the face. Linda Barker expressed dissatisfaction with Commissioner Mahany. She said she is very proud of everyone who came up to voice their opinions. 14) CITY COMMISSIONER'S REPORTS Commissioner Wiggins thanked Mr. Iftikhar and the Public Works Staff for the assistance with the clean-up after the storms last week. He said the City received the two busses that were really nice and the City was able to pick up kids for the afterschool programs. Mr. Bonaparte said the City received those busses because of Commissioner Wiggin's hard work. Commissioner Britton thanked the Public Works staff for all of their assistance. She thanked Ms. Jones and the Recreation staff and thanked Mr. Thomas, Mr. Turk and all the City staff involved with the small business grants. Commissioner Britton said congratulations to Commissioner Austin and Commissioner Mahany on the recent election. She thanked all the residents who got up to speak at this evenings meeting and explained how important it is to hear CITY COMMISSION MINUTES resident's concerns.
