AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, TO
ANNEX WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, A
PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN
NARCISSUS AVENUE AND WEST FIRST STREET AND BETWEEN z
RIVERVIEW AVENUE AND A.C.L ~ILROAD; IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE VOLUNTARY ANNE~TION PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 171.044, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR
SEVE~BILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, ~ere h~ b~n filed with the CiW Clerk of ~he CiW of Sanford, Florida, a petition
conDining ~e name of ~e prope~ owner in ~he area described hereina~er requesting annexation ~o
the corporate area of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, and requesting ~ be included ~erein~ and
WHEREAS, ~e Prope~ Appraiser of S~inole CounW~ Florida having ce~ified thac there are
~r~ prope~ owners in ~e area to be annexed and ~at said prope~ owners have si~ed the Petition
for Anne~don~ and
WHEREAS, it has been determined chac the prope~ described hereina~er is reasonably
compact and con~ous to ~e corporate are~ of ~e CiW of Sanford, Florida, and it has fu~her been
determined ~at the annexation of said prope~ will not result in the creation of any enclave; and
WHEREAS, ~e CiW of Sanford, Florida, is in a position to provide municipal se~ices
pmpe~ described herein, and that ~e CiW Commission of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, deems
· e best interest of the CiW co accept said petition and to annex said prope~.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That ~e prope~ described below, situated in Seminole CounW, Florida, be and
che same is hereby annexed ~o and made a par~ of the CiW of Sanford, Florida, pursuant
volun~ annexation provisions of Section 171.044, Florida

SECTION 2: Thai upon [his Ordinance becoming effective, [he property owners and any
residents on the property described herein shall be entided to all [he rights and privileges and
immunities as are from rime to time granted to residents and property owners of the City of Sanford,
Florida, as further provided in Chapter | 7'1, Florida Statutes, and shall further be subject to the
responsibilities of residence or ownership as may from time to time be determined by the governing
authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 171, Florida Statutes.
SECTION 3: if any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be invalid,
unlawful or unconstitutional, i~c shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other
section or par[ of this Ordinance.
SECTION ~f: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
