AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, TO
ANNEX WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY OF ·
SANFORD, UPON ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, ~,
PORTIONS OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN
SARITA STREET AND OSCEOLA DRIVE AND BETWEEN
MOHAWK AVENUE EXTENDED NORTHERLY AND MARSHALL
AVENUE~ IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VOLUNTARY ~
ANNE~TION PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171.044, FLORIDA ~
STATUTES} PROVIDING FOR SEVE~BILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the CiW Clerk of ~e CiW of Sgnford, Florida, petitions
conginin~ the nsmes of ~he properW owners in the area described hereins~er requesdn8 annexation
~o the corpors[e area of ~he CiW of Sanford, Florida, and requestin~ to be included thereinl ~nd
WH EREAS, the Prope~ Appraiser of Seminole Count, Florida having certified that there are
four prope~ owners in ~e area to be snn~ed and ~a~ said prope~ owners have signed the PedtioB
forAnnexation~ and
WHEREAS, k has been determined mat the properW described hereina~er is reasonab~
compac~ and cond~ous to ~e corpora~ areas of the Ci~ of Sanford, Florida, and i~ has further been
determined ~ha~ the anne~tion of said proper~ will not resuk in the creation of any enclave~ and
WHEREAS, the CiW of Sanford, Florida, is in a position ~o provide municipal se~ices [o
prope~ described herein, and [ha~ ~he CiW Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, deems k t
[he bes~ interest of the CiW ~o accep~ said pe[kion and to annex said properW.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFOR~
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Tha~ ~e prope~ de~ribed below, situated in Seminole Count, Florida, be an~
~he same is hereby annexed [o and made a part of the Ci~ of Sanford, Florida, pursuant [o
volungq annexation provisions of S~tion 171.04~, Florida S~uces:
LEG LOT 44, BLK 13, 4~ SECTION~ DREAMWOLD, PB 4~ PG
PUBLIC RECORDS OF SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
LEG LOTS 10A ~ 11~ BLK 11, 4~ SECTION~ DREAPIWOLD~ PB
4, PG. 99, PUBLIC RECORDS OF SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
SECTION 2: That upon this Ordinance becoming effective, the property owners and any
residents on the property described herein shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges and
immunkies 8s are from dine to dine granted to residen~ and prope~ owners of the CiW of Sanford,
Florida, as ~rther provided in Chapter 171, Florida SB~u[es, and shall further be subject to the
responsibilities of residence or ownership as may from rime ~o dine be determined by the governing
authoriW of the Cky of Sanford, Florida, and ~he provisions of said Chapter 171, Florida SBtutes.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves [o be invalid,
unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held ~o impair the wlidiW, force or effect of any other
section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That ~11 Ordinanc~ or pa~ of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the s~me
are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
adopdon.
