Myrtle Avenue Sanford, FL 32771 Re: Historic Preservation Board Certificate of Appropriateness Approval 1119 S. Myrtle Avenue Dear Ms. Kelly: At their meeting on January 18, 2012, the Historic Preservation Board moved to approve with conditions a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) for construction of a handicap on the west elevation at 1119 S. Myrtle Avenue as presented, based on the finding that the proposed change is consistent with the purpose and intent of Schedule S and complies with the design guidelines contained within Schedule S. Specifically, the addition of the ramp is easily reversible; if removed in the future the essential form and integrity of the property would be unimpaired. The conditions noted on the approval are as follows: If the property changes ownership the ramp must be removed; and The ramp should be partially screened by landscape plantings. The applicant is advised that any person aggrieved by a determination of the Board may appeal such determination to the City Commission by filing a written appeal and paying associated fees through the City Clerk's Office within thirty (30) calendar days of the Board action.
