ORDINANCE NO. 3240
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, TO ANNEX
WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, UPON m CO
ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN SILVER LAKE ROAD-AND CORNWALL z
ROAD EXTENDED EASTERLY AND BETWEEN MELLONVILLE AVENUE
AND OHIO AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VOLUNTARY
ANNEXATION PROVISIONS OF SECTION 171.044, FLORIDA
STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHER~S, there has been filed ~th the City Clerk of the City of Sa~ord,
~1 m a petition cont~ng the name of the property owner in the area described
o da,
herein~ter requesting annexation to the coloration area of the City of Sagord,
Florida, and requesting to be included the~in; and
WHER~S, the Property App~ser of Se~nole County, Florida having
cert~ied that there is one property owner in the area to be annexed and that s~d
property owner has si~ed the Petition for Annexation; ~d
WHER~S, it has been deterred that the property desc~bed he~i~ter is
reasonably compact and conti~ous to the colorate areas of the City of Sa~ord,
Florida, and it has further been deterSned that the annexation of s~d property ~11
not result in the creation of any enchve; and
~ER~S, the City of Sagoral, Florida, is in a position ~o provide mu~cipal
services to the property described herein, and that the City Com~ssion of the City
of Sanford, Florida, deems it in the best inte~st of the City to accept said petition
and to annex s~d property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the property deathbed below, situated ~ Se~nole County,
Florida, be and the same is hereby ~nexed to and made a part of the City of
Sagord, Florida, pursuant to the voluntary annexation provisions of Section

SECTION 2: That upon t~s Ordinance beco~ng effective~ the property
owner and any resident on the property described heroin shall be entitled to all the
rights and privileges and immunities as are from time to time ~nted to residents
and property owners of the City of Sa~ord, Florida, as further provided in Chapter
171, Florida Statutes, and shall further be subject to the responsibilities of
residence or ownership as may from time to time be determined by the governing
authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 171,
Florida Statutes.
SECTION S: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves
to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity,
force or effect of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon it~
