3241 ORDINANCE NO. 3241
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER TWO, CITY CODE, TO PROVIDE
FOR THE REORGANIZATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND THE DEPARTMENT OF
ENGINEERING AND PLANNING; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida, desires to amend Chapter Two
of the City Code, to provide for the reorganization of the Department of Community
Development and the Department of Engineering and Planning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Chapter 2 of the City Code of Sanford, Florida, is
hereby amended as fellows:
A. Section 2-431 is hereby deleted.
B. Section 2-431 is hereby created to read as follows: "Them is
hereby created and constituted a Department of Community
Development which shall consist of the Community Development
Division and the Building and Zoning Division."
C. Section 2-432 is hereby deleted.
D. Section 2-433 is hereby deleted.
E. Section 2-37 is hereby deleted
F. Section 2-37 is created to read as follows: "The Department of
Engineering and Planning shall incoFpoFate engineering and
planning."
SECTION 2: SEVERABILITY. If any section or portion of a section of
this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held
to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: CONFLICTS. That all Ordinances or parts of
Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: EFFECTIVE DATE. That this Ordinance shallbecome
effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
