CONCLUSIONS OF LAW
a). Pursuant to Section 8.0 of Schedule °S" of the City's Land Development
Regulations as set forth in the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sanford, the Historic
Preservation Board has reviewed the proposed Certificate of Appropriateness and all
matters relating thereto in accordance with the procedures for altering historic
landmarks or structures within historic districts as set forth in Schedule "S".
b). Schedule S states:
1) New garage doors may be constructed out of wood or fiberglass
and shall not exceed a maximum width of nine feet (9') for a single
door on front loaded garages and sixteen feet (16) on alley -facinggarages. (S-35)
2) 16' garage doors must be architectural, carriage -style doors that
complement the main building and garage building. (S-35)
c). The proposed material for the garage door is metal, and the installation of
these doors is approved based on the requirement that the doors be carriage style and
constructed of heavy gauge metal that will withstand impact and therefore will not be
susceptible to denting or other damage.
d). The proposed garage doors are carriage style and will have the
appropriate carriage style hardware.
e). The purpose and intent of Schedule "S" have been met in the context of
the approval set forth herein.
f). To the extent that a conclusion of law as set forth herein also constitutes a
factual finding, then such shall be taken to be so as part of this Development Order.
g). The proposed Certificate of Appropriateness is hereby found and
determined to comply with the aforestated requirements.

h). Additionally, the Certificate of Appropriateness sought is hereby found and
determined to be consistent with the City of Sanford Comprehensive Plan and
development of the property as proposed would.be consistent with and in compliance to
applicable land development regulations and all other applicable regulations and
ordinances as set forth in the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sanford.
ORDER
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT:
1). The aforementioned application for a Certificate of Appropriateness is
APPROVED.
2). This Development Order granting approval of a Certificate of
Appropriateness touches and concerns the aforedescribed property.
