WORK SESSION
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Work
Session on Monday, February 22, 2021, at 6:00 PM, in the City Commission Chambers,
1St Floor, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

Mayor Woodruff called the meeting to order at 6:05 PM
1. Mellonville Community Center Update
Mr. Bonaparte asked Lisa Jones, Parks and Recreation Director to provide
an update on the replacements for the Mellonville Community Center. Ms. Jones
introduced Jerry Sullivan, Leisure Services Manager, who presented a slide show of
repairs needed for the Mellonville Community. The repairs/replacements included;
replacing the skin on the building where it is rusted or torn off, replacing the awning and
widening the main entrance, changing the color of the building to match the other
buildings at the Tim Raines Sports Complex, updating the entrance, replacing the garage
doors at the loading dock, updating the ceilings and replacing the walls in the
gymnasium. Mr. Bonaparte said the cost of this project is $96,288, the funds are available
in reserves. This is an action item on tonight's agenda.
