AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING THAT CERTAIN
EAST-WESTALLEYBETWEENWEST 7TH STREETAND WEST 8TH
STREET AND BETWEEN OLEANDER AVENUE AND
MANGOUSTINE AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, co
CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVEDATE. ::1:

WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the City of Sanford to close, vacate ~d
abandon that certain East-West Alley between West 7th Street and West 8th Street ~
between Oleander Avenue and Mangoustine Avenue; and
WltEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 24, 1995, for consideration and
determination as to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning of that certain East-
West Alley between West 7th Street and West 8th Street and between Oleander Avenue and
~ Mangoustine Avenue should be allowed; and
z co WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and
~ r-- abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the

~ City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order, convenience,

~ × and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and abandoning.
>_ ,~- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
ua_co SANFORD, FLORIDA:
'~ SECTION 1: That certain East-West Alley between West 7th Street and West 8th
~ Street and between Oleander Avenue and Mangoustine Avenue, more particularly described
as follows:
That certain East-West alley lying in Block 9, Track 17 of
Seminole Park, Plat Book 2, Page 75, Seminole County, Florida,

c~ co be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned, and retained as a utility easement.
~ '7 SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this ordinance proves to be
~ invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or eft~ct
~-~ of any other section or part of this ordinance.
~_m ~ SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and
c~_~ the same are hereby revoked.
~ SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage
~ and adoption.
