AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3230, AND ITS
AFIENDM ENTS, AND ADOPTING AN AMENDED
CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN EFFECTIVE
Ilvfi"IEDIATELY TO AUTHORIZE THE ADDITION OF FIVE
(5) "POLICE OFFICER" POSITIONS TO THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR SEVEP, ABILITY,
CONFLICTS, AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WH EREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, deems it necessary
to amend the Classification and Pay Plan to authorize the addition of five (5) "Police Officer"
positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the preceding clauses are adopted as fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2: That the terms of Ordinance No. 3230 are hereby amended.
SECTION 3: That Ordinance No. 3230 be and the same is hereby amended to
provide that the amendments to the Classification and Pay Plan attached hereto as Exhibit
"A" are incorporated herein by reference and are made part of this Ordinance as fully and
completely as though they were fully set forth herein.
SECTION 4: SEVERABILITY. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: CONFLICT. If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance
proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity,
force or effect of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 6: EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
