AGREEMENT FOR DISPATCEUNG SERVICES - FY 2021/22 ADDENDUM
In accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Agreement for the provision of dispatch
services between the Seminole County Sheriffs Office and the City of Sanford the following amendment
has been agreed upon for FY 2021/22 commencing on October 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2022.
Paragraph 6(1). Compensation and Payment, Cost for Services is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Cost for Services:
SANFORD agrees to reimburse the SHERIFF for dispatching services as set forth in this
Agreement for services to be rendered in FY 2021/22 commencing October 1, 2021 and ending

SYNOPSIS:
Approval of the annual Dispatch Services Agreement with the Seminole County Sheriff s Office
for Fiscal Year 2021/2022 is requested.
FISCAL/STAFFING STATEMENT:
The total cost to renew the agreement for the second fiscal year of the 4 -year Dispatch Services
Agreement (entered commencing on October 1, 2020) is $686,900, which would be paid in four
quarterly installments of $171,725. These funds are included in the proposed Fiscal Year
2021/2022 budget and would be contingent upon the budget being approved, as proposed.
BACKGROUND:
The Seminole County Sheriffs Officer has provided the Police Department with dispatch services
since October 1, 1999. The terms of the attached agreement shall be from October 1, 2021, through
September 30, 2022. During subsequent years of this term, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office
will provide the City with an addendum to this agreement detailing the projected costs for the
forthcoming fiscal year. The annual charges are determined by the total call volume generated by
the Police Department's jurisdiction
LEGAL REVIEW:
A legal review has been completed by the City Attorney.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Commission authorize the Dispatch Services Agreement between
the City and the Seminole County Sheriffs Office to be renewed for the term October 1, 2021,
until September 30, 2022.
