AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
REVISING AND AMENDING THE LAND DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY; AMENDING ARTICLE XI,
SECTION 11.2, DEFINITIONS, LAND USE, IN THE CITY'S
LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, ADDING A
DEFINITION FOR ADULT PERFORMANCE
ESTABLISHMENTS AND MODIFYING THE DEFINITION OF
COMMERCIAL AMUSEMENTS; AMENDING SCHEDULE A
(LAND USE CLASSIFICATIONS) TO THE CITY OF
SANFORD LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS,
PROVIDING FOR ADULT PERFORMANCE
ESTABLISHMENTS AND AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION
"COMMERCIAL AMUSEMENTS"; AMENDING SCHEDULE B
(PERMITTED USES) TO THE CITY OF SANFORD LAND
DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, PROVIDING FOR ZONING
CATEGORIES FOR ADULT PERFORMANCE
ESTABLISHMENTS THEREIN AND APPLICABLE
EXCEPTIONS TO PROHIBITIONS AGAINST ALCOHOL
USE; PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES AND ENFORCEMENT;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS,
INCLUSION INTO THE SANFORD LAND DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 3117, said Ordinance being the Land Development
Regulations of the City, Article XI, Section 11.2 is amended to include and add a new
definition, Adult Performance Establishment and is amended to modify the existing
definition, commereiai amusements as follows:
Adult Performance Establishment. Any use that is defined as an Adult
Performance Establishment as set forth in Ordinance No. 3185, entitled "The City of
Sanford Adult Entertainment Regulations."
Commercial Amusements. A premises, or portion of a premises, occupied by
an establishment whose primary function is to provide profit oriented amusements
and is engaged in the commercial operation of sports and recreational services
normally on payment of a fee or admission charge. Commercial amusement
establishments include commereiai marinas, boat liveries and bingo par]ors but does

not include motion picture theaters, adult performance establishments or temporary
commercial amusements.
SECTION 2: Ordinance No. 3117, said Ordinance being the Land Development
Regulations of the City, Schedule A - Land Use Classifications City of Sanford Land
Development Regulations, is amended, in part, to read as follows:

SECTION 3: Ordinance No. 3117, said Ordinance being the Land Development
Regulations of the City, Schedule B - Permitted Uses City of Sanford Land
Development Regulations, is amended, in part, to read as follows:

SECTION 4: If any section or portion of a section of this ordinance proves to
be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity,
force or effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 5: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 6: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption o
SECTION 7: The provisions of this Ordinance shall be included and
incorporated within the Land Development Regulations of the City of Sanford,
Florida, and the Land Development Code shall be revised to accommodate such
inclusion.
