3202 ORDINANCE NO. 3202
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A CERTAIN NORTH-
SOUTH ALLEY BETWEEN MAPLE AVENUE AND FRENCH AVENUE
AND BETWEEN WEST FIRST STREET AND WEST SECOND
STREET; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an application has been filed with the City of Sanford to close,
.vacate and abandon a certain North-South alley between Maple Avenue and French
and between West First Street and West Second Street; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 28, 1994, for consideration and
determinations to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning that alley
should be allowed; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and
abandoning that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of
the City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order,
convenience, and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and
abandoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That certain North-South alley between Maple Avenue and French
Avenue and between West First Street and West Second Street, mere particularly
described as follows:
That part of the alley way lying West of Lots 6 and 7 and East of Lots 8
and 9, all being in Block 3, Tier 9, of E.R. Traffords Map of the Town
of Sanford as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 61 of the Public Records of
Seminole County Florida;beingmoreparficularlydescribedasfollows:
Begin at the Southeast corner of Lot 9, Block 3, Tier 9, of E.R. Traffords
Map of the Town of Sanford as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 61 of the Public
Records of Seminole County, Florida, and run North 00°01'57'' East along the
West line of Lots 8 and 9 for a distance of 122.22 feet to the Northeast corner
of said Lot 8; thence run North 89056'47" East for a distance of 14.00 feet to
the Northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 3, Tier 9; thence run South 00001'57"
West along the West line of Lots 6 and 7 for a distance of 122.22 feet to the
Southwest corner of Lot 7; thence run South 89°56'15'' West, 14.00 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this ordinance proves to
be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity,
force or effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
