AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, TO ANNEX
WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, UPON rn
ADOPTION OF SAID ORDINANCE, A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN PALM WAY AND SANFORD AVENUE AND
BETWEENHIBISCUSDRIVEANDPOINSETTADRIVE, INACCORDANCE ~
WITH THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION PROVISIONS OF SECTION
171.044, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHER~S, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Sa~ord,
Florida, a petition contai~ng the name of the property owner in the area described
hePeinafter ~questing annexation to the corporation area of the City of Sagord,
Florida, and requesting to be included therein; and
WHER~S, the Property ApprMser of Seminole County, Florida having
certified that there is one property owner in the area to be annexed and that said
property owner has signed the Petition for Annexation; and
WHER~S, it has been determined that the property described hereinafter is
reasonably compact and conti~ous to the corporate areas of the City of Sa~ord,
Florida, and it has further been determined that the annexation of said property ~11
not result in the creation of any enclave; and
WHER~S, the City of Sanford, Florida, is in a position to provide mu~cipal
services to the property described herein, and that the City Com~ssion of the City
of Sanford, Florida, deems it in the best interest of the City to accept s~d petition
and to anne said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the property described below, situated in Se~nole County,
Florida, be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of
Sanford, Florida, pursuant to the voluntary annexation provisions of Section
171.044, Florida Statutes:
Lot 19, Block 1, Flora Heights, according to the plat
thereof as recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 19, Public
Records of Seminole County, Florida.
SECTION 2: That upon this Ordinance becoming effective, the property
owner and any resident on the property described herein shall be entitled to all the
rights and privileges and immunities as are from time to time granted to residents
and property owners of the City of Sanford, Florida, as further provided in Chapter
171, Florida Statutes, and shall further be subject to the responsibi~ties of
residence or ownership as may from time to time be deterSned by the governing
authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 171crl,
Florida Statutes.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of
to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to imp~r the va~d~t~
force or effect of any other section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in cogHet herewith
be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption. -~ ~-
