AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD~ FLORIDA, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 3075 AND ITS AMENDMENTS~ AND ADOPTING AN
AMENDED CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
TO ABOLISH ONE "POLICE CAPTAIN" POSITION AND TO ESTABLISH
ONE "POLICE OFFICER" POSITION AND ONE "DATA PROCESSING
OPERATOR/PROGRAMMER" POSITION PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY~ CONFLICTS~ AND EFFECTIVE DATE:
]~/HEREAS~ the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, deems it
necessary to amend its current Classification and Pay Plan to authorize the
abolishment of one t~ Police Captain" position and to establish one ~Police Officer
position and one "Data Processing Operator/Programmer" concurrently within the
Police Department.
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
SANFORD~ FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 3075 of the City of Sanford, Floridas
be and the same is hereby amended.
SECTION 2: That certain classifications and pay plan and subsequent
revised amendments incorporated heroin by reference are made a part of this
ordinance as fully and completely as though same were set forth in this section, be
and the same hereby adopted.
SECTION 3: Seve~ability. If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, or to be in conflict with
other prevailing Civil Service or Personnel rules, it shall not be held to impair the
vaiidity~ force or effect of any other section or part of a section of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: Conflicts. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
