3146 ORDINANCE NO. 3146
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3075 AND ITS AMENDMENTS,
AND ADOPTING AN AMENDED CLASSIFICATION AND PAY
PLAN EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY TO ESTABLISH FOUR
(4) ADDITIONAL "POLICE OFFICER" POSITIONS,
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS, AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida deems it
necessary to amend its current Classification and Pay Plan to authorize and establish
four additional 'Police Officer" positions within the Police Department subject to and
concurrent with continued grant funding associated with the agreement entered into
by the City of Sanford and the Sanford Housing Authority to establish a Community
Policing Team (CPT).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 3075 of the City of Sanford, Florida,
be and the same is hereby amended.
SECTION 2: That certain classifications and pay plan and subsequent
revised amendments incorporated herein by reference are made a part of this
Ordinance as fully and completely as though same were set forth in this section, be
and the same is hereby adopted.
SECTION 3: That certain classification and pay schedule, dated October
1, 1991, and made a part of Ordinance No. 3075, be and the same is hereby amended
to establish four (4) additional "Police Officer" positions.
SECTION 4: Severability. If any section or portion of a section of this
Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, or to be in conflict
w/th other prevailing Civil Service or Personnel rules, it shall not be held to impair
the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of a section of this
Ordinance.
SECTION 5: Conflicts. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 6: Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
