3086 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, CHANGING
THE NAME OF AN UNNAMED ROAD TO SMITH CANAL ROAD;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, a request has been received to name an unnamed street
that lies between lots 20D, 20E, 20G, 20N, and 29, 29A in the recorded plat
of M.M. Smiths Third Subdivision, Plat Book 1, Page 86; and
WHEREAS, naming this road will help to eliminate confusion,
facilitate improved emergency access and ability of the public to locate
streets and roads within the city; and
WHEREAS, this change is consistent with overall City plans for
street naming, addressing and the E-911 system.
NOW THEHEFOHE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,

~ SECTION 1: That a portion of the unnamed road described above
~coc~ within the City limits of Sanford, Florida, shall henceforth be known as
~--~< th Smith Canal Road.
,,,CDCD ~f SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this
_,~x , ~ ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not
be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part
of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
