3068 ORDINANCE NO. 3068
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, ENDING
SECTION 28-24 AND 28-25 OF THE SANFORD CODE BY
ESTABLISHING NEW WATER RATES AND SEWER RATES; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Section 28-24(b)(1) and (2) of the sanford city Code
is hereby deleted in its entirety.
SECTION 2: Section 28-24(b)(1) and (2) is hereby added to the
Sanford City Code as follows:
"WATER RATES"
"INSIDE CITY LIMITS"
(1) CUSTOMER CHARGE - There shall be a monthly customer charge
for each account or installed meter as follows:
3/4" = $ 2.14 per month
1" = $ 4.27 per month
1-1/2" = $ 8.56 per month
2" = $ 12.83 per month
3" = $ 42.76 per month
4" = $ 96.20 per month
6" = $171.02 per month
8" = $256.52 per month
10" = $320.66 per month
12" = $427.55 per month
(2) CONSUMPTION CHANGE - All water consumed each billing period
shall be billed at the rate of $1.42 per thousand gallons, or additional
fraction thereof. There will be no discount for higher monthly
consumptions. Minimum monthly billing shall be for two thousand gallons.
SECTION 3: Section 28-25(a) and (2) of the Sanford City Code is
deleted in its entirety.
SECTION 4: Section 28-25(a) and (2) is hereby added to the
Sanford City Code as follows:
"INSIDE CITY LIMITS"
(a) Charges for the use or availability for use of the sewer
system of the City shall be as follows:
(1) CUSTOMER CHARGE - There shall be a monthly customer charge
for each account as follows:
3/4" = $ 2.84 per month
1" = $ 5.69 per month
1-1/2" = $ 11.36 per month
2" = $ 17.05 per month
3" = $ 56.83 per month
4" = $127.86 per month
6" = $227.30 per month
8" = $340.96 per month
10" = $426.19 per month
12" = $568.26 per month
(2) SEWAGE TREATMENT CHARGE - In addition to the customer service
charge there shall be a charge for actual treatment of sewage of TWO DOLLARS
and 35/100 (2.35) per one thousand gallons of water or fraction thereof
consumed, based on water meter readings.
SECTION 5: If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional it shall not be
held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of
this ordinance.
SECTION 6: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 7: That this ordinance shall become effective with all
billings on and after September 1, 1991.
