3012 ORDINANCE NO. 3012
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2078 OF SAID CITY; SAID
ORDINANCE BEING THE CONVENIENCE FOOD STORE
ORDINANCE; AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF A
CONVENIENCE FOOD STORE; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS, AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Sanford City Commission to
amend Chapter 24, Section 24-1. Definitions, of the City Code to amend
the definition of "Convenience Food Store" contained therein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Chapter 24, Section 24-1. (a) (1) through (4),
the definition of "Convenience Food Store" is deleted.
SECTION 2: The new definition of "Convenience Food Store"
is added to read as follows:
"(a) 'Convenience Food Store' is any place of
business engaged in the retail sale of groceries
that is regularly open for business at any time
between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and that is
attended during such hours by not more than two
(2) employees."
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall
not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other
section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
