3018 ORDINANCE NO. 3018
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE 1893 OF SAID CITY. SAID
ORDINANCE BEING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE
FUTURE LAND USE PLAN ELEMENT TO PROVIDE A
SMALL-SCALE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO
DESIGNATE PROPERTY ON THE EAST SIDE OF U.S. 17-92
(ORLANDO DRIVE) AND BETWEEN AIRPORT BOULEVARD AND
AMERICANA BOULEVARD TO A COMMUNITY COERCE LAND
USE DESIGNATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford's Planning and Zoning
Commission, as the City's local planning agency, held a public hearing
on June 21, 1990 to consider amending the Future Land Use Plan Element
of the Comprehensive Plan, Sanford, Florida; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission, as the City's governing body,
held a public hearing on July 9, 1990 to consider amending the Future
Land Use Concept May of the Future Land Use Plan Element of the
Comprehensive Plan, Sanford, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford has complied with requirements
and procedures to amend adopted comprehensive plans as set forth in
Florida Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That portion of the Future Land use Plan Element
referenced as the Future Land Use Concept Map be amended by including
certain lands incorporation in the City of Sanford, Florida. On the
East side of 17-92 (Orlando Drive) and between Airport Boulevard and
Americana Boulevard to a Community Commerce Land Use Designation.
Said property being more particularly described as:
Commence at the NE corner of Sec 11, Twn 20 S, Rge
30 E, Seminole Co., F1 run S00°39'14"E alg the E
line of the NE 1/4 of said Sec i1, 2015.21';
thence run S89°20'46"W 559.72' to the Ely ROW line
of US Hwy 17 & 92 and the POB; thence run
S64°13'00"E 324.99'; thence run S25°47'00"W
296.50'; thence run N64°13'O0"W 524.99' to the
said Ely ROW line; thence run N25°47'O0"E 171.50'
to the POB, containing 3.00 acres more or less.
A copy of additions to the Future Land Use Concept Map and respective
land use classifications for such land is attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated herein and hereby adopted pursuant to Florida
Statutes.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion or a section of this
order proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional it shall not
be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section
or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
