3000 ORDINANCE NO. 3000 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 16 OF THE SANFORD CITY CODE REGARDING OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES TO AMEND THE DEFINITION OF "INSURANCE COMPANY" AS DEFINED IN SECTION 16-12 THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Sanford City Commission to amend Chapter 16, Section 12 of the City Code amending the definition of "Insurance Company" contained therein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: Chapter 16, Section 12, the definition of "Insurance Company" of the Sanford City Code is deleted. SECTION 2: The new definition of "Insurance Company" is added to read as follows: A company license is required whenever insurance of the company in question is being sold or solicited within the city limits. SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section.of this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional it shallnot be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of this ordinance. SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
