2053 ORDINANCE NO. 2053
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 11, SECTION 11-30(d),
KEEPING OF JUNK CARS, PARTS AND DEBRIS IN
WITHIN THE CITY OF SANFORD; EXCEPTION;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission of
SanfOrd, Florida to amend Chapter 11, Section 11-30 of the
Sanford City Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Chapter 11, Section 11-30 is amended to add
subsection "d" as follows:
Sec. 11-30. KEEPING OF JUNK CARS, PARTS AND
DEBRIS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF SANFORD"?
FLORIDA; EXCEPTION.
(d) The keeping of junk cars, parts and
debris within the city limits of Sanford,
Florida is prohibited. EXCEPTION: This
section shall not pertain to one motor
vehicle in operable condition specifically
adopted or designed for operation on drag
strips or raceways, or one vehicle retained
by the owner for antique collection purposes;
in addition a person may retain one (1) junk
car as defined herein on their property as
long as said vehicle is covered by a
manufactured automobile cover.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional
it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of
any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
