2055 ORDINANCE NO. 2055
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 11, GARBAGE, TRASH, WEEDS
AND SOLID WASTE, SECTION 11-12 (a) SCHEDULE
OF REFUSE COLLECTION FEES, OF THE SANFORD
CITY CODE TO INCREASE THE REFUSE RATE FOR
EACH SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission
Sanford, Florida to amend Chapter 11, Section ll-12(a) of the
Sanford City Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Chapter 11, Section ll-12(a) of the Sanford
City Code is amended to read as follows:
(a) For each "single-family residence",
which term shall embrace only a single
building and its premises for single-family
occupancy, and exclude any rental occupancy
other than the single-family, each "church",
each "lodge", which term shall embrace only
n onprof it, fraternal organi zati ons
maintaining buildings for their lodge
purposes and each "nursery", such term
embracing only educational buildings used for
instruction of children of pre-public school
age, the fee to be paid to the city shall be
ten dollars and ninety-five cents ($10.95)
per month with an allowance of not more than
two (2) receptacles, as required by section
11-2 of the Code of the City of Sanford,
Florida, per usage.
SE~.TION 2: If any section or portion of a section
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional
it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of
any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
with all refuse billings on and after October 1, 1989.
