2471 MOU - COS/FOP Collective Bargaining AgreementMEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AND AMENDMENT
TO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
This Memorandum of Understanding and Amendment to Collective Bargaining
Agreement is entered into between the City of Sanford, Florida ("CITY") and the Florida State
Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police ("UNION").
1. On January 10, 2023, a collective bargaining agreement ("CBA") covering Fiscal
Years 2022-23 through 2024-25 became fully ratified between the CITY and UNION covering the
terms and conditions of employment for the CITY's Police Lieutenants.
2. The CITY and the UNION agree that this Memorandum of Understanding and
Amendment to Collective Agreement shall act as a supplement to the existing CBA between the
CITY and its Police Lieutenants.
3. Article 35 CBA Section 1 subparts a through c and Appendix A shall be replaced
and superseded with the following language:
ARTICLE 35
WAGES
Section 1. For Fiscal Years 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25, employees covered hereunder
shall receive wage increases in accordance with the following:
(a) Employees shall receive a thirteen percent (13%) wage increase, as is reflected
in Appendix A. These wage increases (inclusive of the extra one percent for
FY 2022-23 included as part of this Agreement) shall be retroactive to the
beginning of the first full payroll period after October 1, 2022.
(b) Effective the first full payroll period after October 1, 2023, employees covered
hereunder shall receive a seven percent (7%) wage increase.
(c) Effective the first full payroll period after October 1, 2024, employees covered
hereunder shall receive a six percent (6%) wage increase.
4. Article 35 Section 1 subparts d through e shall remain unchanged. Article 35
Sections 2 through 4 also shall remain unchanged.
5. All other provisions of the current CBA between the CITY and the UNION will
remain the same.
6. This Agreement is not applicable to the existing CBA between the CITY and
UNION pertaining to the terns and conditions of employment for the CITY's Police Sergeants
and Police Officers.
