2069 ORDINANCE NO. 2069
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1689 TO PROVIDE FOR AN
INCREASE IN THE EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTION OF THE
FIREMENS' RETIREMENT SYSTEM TO 4.6%;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Sanford City
Commission to amend Section 5, subsection i(A), of Ordinance No.
1689.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The first sentence of Section 5,
Contributions, Subsection l, Member Contributions, A. Amount, of
Ordinance No. 1689 is amended to read as follows:
Section 5: CONTRIBUTIONS.
1. Member Contributions
A. Amount - Members shall contribute
at the rate'~'~'4~6% of Earnings.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional
it shallnot be held to impair the validity, force or effect of
any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
