1997 ORDINANCE NO. 1997
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC. 2-18 AND DELETING
SEC. 2-36 OF THE SANFORD CITY CODE AS IT
RELATES TO THE REORGANIZATION OF THE FINANCE
DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Delete Sec. 2-18, of the Sanford City Code,
entitled "Divisions, Appointment of Supervisors", in its
entirety.
SECTION 2: Add Sec. 2-18, to the Sanford City Code,
entitled "Divisions, Appointment of Supervisors", to read as
follows:
"The Department of Finance shall be divided
into the Administrative Services Division and
Accounting Division under the supervision of
the following officials:
(a) Administrative Services Chief to be
appointed by the Finance Director and
such appointment to be confirmed by
the City Manager.
(b) Chief Accountant to be appointed by the
Finance Director and such appointment
to be confirmed by the City Manager."
SECTION 3: Delete Sec. 2-36, Department of
Administrative Services, of the City Code in its entirety.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
