1964 ORDINANCE NO. 1964
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 3, SECTION 3-8
(a), ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OF THE SANFORD
CITY CODE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Section 3-8 (a) Class 3 "special"
certificates of registration of the Sanford City Code is hereby
deleted in its entirety.
SECTION 2: Section 3-8 (a) Class 3 "special"
certificates of registration is hereby added to the Sanford City
Code as follows:
(a) There shall be no limitation of the number of
Class 3 "special" certificates of registration issued to any bona
fide hotel, motel or motor court of not less than one hundred
(100) guest rooms or to any bona fide restaurant containing all
necessary equipment and supplies for and serving full course
meals regularly and having accommodations at all times for
service of one hunderd fifty (150) or more patrons at tables and
occupying more than two thousand five hundred (2,500) square feet
of space and deriving not less than fifty one (51) per cent of
its gross income per annum from the sale of food providing that
if such restaurant ceases to be a bona fide restaurant as
required as a prerequisite for obtaining such certificate, such
certificate shall be suspended; provided further that no
intoxicating beverage shall be sold under such certificate after
the hours of serving food has ceased.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.

SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
