SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AM3 ~'F~CTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACA'~u BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFfP~, ~A:
SECTION 1. Intent end Purpose:
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, finds and declares that the
provisions of this ordinance are enacted for the following reasons:
a. To prcmote traffic safety and the safety of children and
other pedestrians near the lakefront end marina;
b. To forestall dangers arising frcm the blocking of fire
lanes, hydrants, and other facilities required by emergency vehicles, both in
reaching victims and in transporting them to hospitals;
c. To facilitate the movement of traffic in the event of
accidents or other disasters;
d. To promote efficiency and funds for the m~ntenance of
streets, parking lots, and boat ramp facilities nest the lakefront end marina;
and
e. To prcmote the peace, comfort, convenience, end welfare of
all citizens of the City.
SECfiON 2: Boat Launching Restricted.
No trailerized boat shall be launched or loaded frce the concrete boat
z~L~s on Parcel 7 of Sanford Riverfront Project as recorded in Plat Book 14,
Page 88, Public Records of Seminole County, Florida, on weekends and holidays
without first paying an annual or daily fee and obtaining a boat launching
permit as hereinafter provided.
SECTION 3: Trailer Parking Restricted.
No motor vehicle and/or trailer shall be parked in an area designated
for boat trailer parking on weekends and holidays without first paying an annual
or daily fee end obtaining a boat launching permit as hereinafter provided.
SECTION 4: Permit Fees.
The fees for boat launching permits shall be as follows:
a. Non-City Resident

1) Annual fee $100.00 (for decal)
2) Daily fee $~;.00
b. City of Sanford Resident
1) Annual fee $0 (with decal obtained frc~a City and
affixed to trailer)
2) Daily fee $ ~00 (without decal obtained frcm City and
affixed to trailer).
SECTION 5. Fines for Violation.
Fines for launching or loading trailerized boats from the concrete
boat ramps on Parcel 7 of Sanford Riverfront Project or parking in an area
designated for boat trailer parking without first paying an annual or ~ly fee
as provided herein shall be in the sanount of twenty five dollars ($25.00).
SECTION 6: If any section or portion of a section of this ordinance
proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to
i~oair the vs]idity, force or effect of any other section or part of this
ordinance.
SECT/ON 7: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 8: That this ordinance shall become effective inmediately
upon its passage and adoption.
