1934 ORDINANCE NO. 1934
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 16 LICENSES, THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, 1954, AS AMENDED
PROVIDING FOR EXHIBIT AND DISPLAY OF LICENSES
AND PROVIDING A LICENSE OFFICIAL, OR OTHER
EMPLOYEE AS DESIGNATED BY THE CITY MANAGER,
BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INSPECTION OF BUSINESSES;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND
EFFECTIVE DATES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. Section 16-8 of the Sanford City Code is
hereby deleted in its entirety.
SECTION 2. Section 16-8 is hereby added to the
Sanford City Code as follows:
Every person required to procure a license shall
exhibit the same whenever called upon to do so by the city tax
collector, license official, chief of police or any policeman of
this city. Licenses of all persons having a place of business
shall be conspicuously displayed thereat.
SECTION 3. Section 16-9 of the Sanford City Code is
hereby deleted in its entirety.
SECTION 4. Section 16-9 is hereby added to the
Sanford City Code as follows:
It shall be the duty of that license official, or other
employee as designated by the City Manager, to inspect all places
of business in the city and to report the failure of any person
carrying on any of the occupations, businesses or professions set
out in this chapter to secure a license therefor or to post the
same conspicuously in his place of business.
SECTION 5. That all other sections of Chapter 16
remain in full effect.
SECTION 6: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.

SECTION 7: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 8: That this ordinance shall become effective
i~ediately upon its passage and adoption.
