1893 ORDINANCE NO. 1893
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
SAID ORDINANCE BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
AND THE EVALUATION AND APPRAISAL REPORT;
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1511; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford's Planning and Zoning
Commission, as the City's local planning agency, held a public
hearing on September 17, 1987, to consider a revised
Comprehensive Plan Document and the 1987 Evaluation and Appraisal
Report for the City of Sanford, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission as the City's governing
body, held two public hearings on September 28, 1987 and
December 28, , 1987 to consider revising the City of
Sanford's Comprehensive Plan and adopting the 1987 Evaluation and
Appraisal Report; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford has complied with
requirements and procedures to amend and adopt comprehensive
plans as set forth in Florida Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Comprehensive Plan Document
containing an Introduction, the Future Land Use Plan, the Traffic
Circulation Plan, the Public Facilities and Services Element, the
Recreation and Open Space Plan, the Downtown Design Concept, the
Housing Plan Element, the Conservation Plan, the Intergovern-
mental Coordination Plan and the Capital Improvements Element, a
copy of all of which is attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein, be adopted as the comprehensive Plan for the
City of Sanford.
SECTION 2: That the 1987 Evaluation and Appraisal
Report, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein, be adopted as the Evaluation and Appraisal
Report for the City of Sanford.
SECTION 3: That Ordinance No. 1511, Sanford, Florida,
SECTION 3: That Ordinance No. 1511, Sanford, Florida,
as adopted, mended and known as the Comprehensive Development
Plan, be repealed, replaced and otherwise revoked by this
Ordinance.
SECTION 4: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 5: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the s~e are hereby revoked.
SECTION 6: That this ordinance shall become effective
i~ediately upon its passage and adoption.
