1847 ORDINANCE NO. 1847
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
DESIGNATING THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION AS THE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY AND
AS THE LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATION
COMMISSION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford is a political subdivision
within contemplation of the provisions of Chapter 163, Florida
Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford recognizes the
desirability as well as the legal requirement to comply with the
Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development
Regulation Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The Planning and Zoning Commission
authorized by Article II, Section 18 1/2 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Sanford (Ordinance 1381 enacted April
25, 1977) be designated aa the Local Planning Agency and as the
Land Development Regulation Commission for the City of Sanford,
Florida.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
