1839 ORDINANCE NO. 1839
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE VII - SCENIC
IMPROVEMENT BOARD - OF THE SANFORD CITY CODE
BY AMENDING SECTION 2-111 TO DELETE THE
REQUIREMENT OF THE DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND
RECREATION BEING A MEMBER AND PROVIDING FOR
THE ADDITION OF AN EX-OFFICIO MEMBER TO BE
APPOINTED BY THE CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 1, Article VII - Scenic Improvement
Board -- of the Sanford City Code be and is hereby amended by
deleting Section 2-111. Created; composition; appointment of
members. in its entirety.
SECTION 2. Chapter 1, Article VII - Scenic Improvement
Board -- of the Sanford City Code be and is hereby amended by
adding Section 2-111. Created; composition; appointment of
members. as follows:
"Section 2-111. Created; composition; appointment of
members.
There is hereby created and constituted a scenic
improvement board for the city, which shall consist of nine (9)
persons to be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city
commission, and one to be appointed by the City Manager, to serve
in an ex-officio capacity."
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
