1831 ORDINANCE NO. 1831
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 532 TO INCREASE THE
HYDRANT RENTAL CHARGE FROM $50 TO $100 PER
HYDRANT PER YEAR; PROVIDING CONFLICTS,
SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance 532 authorized the construction or
acquisition of additions, extensions and improvements to the
combined water system and authorized the issuance of water and
sewer revenue certificates to fund said project; and
WHEREAS, Article III entitled "Revenues and Application
Thereof" provided, among other things, a hydrant rental fee of
$50.00 per hydrant per year, payable from the General Funds of
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City is in the process of again expanding
its combined Water and Sewer System and its engineering report
reveals that an increase in the hydrant rental charge to $100.00
per hydrant per year is warranted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. The annual hydrant rental charge of $50.00
per hydrant per year as provided by Ordinance No. 532 of the City
of Sanford, Florida, is increased to $100.00 as follows:
"There shall be levied, effective October 1, 1986, and
each year thereafter, a hydrant rental charge of $100.00 per
hydrant per year, payable from the General Funds of the City."
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
