1818 ORDINANCE NO. 1818
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1097 OF SAID CITY;
SAID ORDINANCE BEING THE ZONING REGULATIONS
OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA; AMENDING THE
PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida's Planning and
Zoning Commission has held a public hearing to consider amending
the Zoning Regulations of the City of Sanford, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission held two public hearings
to consider amending the Zoning Regulations of the City of
Sanford, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford, Florida has complied with
requirements and procedures to substantially change permitted use
categories in zoning districts pursuant to section 166.041,
Florida Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Paragraph (51) of Article II,
Definitions Of Terms Used In The Regulations, be amended to read
as follows:
"51. Planned Unit Devel'opment. A
development of one acre of land or more by a
single owner for residential, commercial, and
public or semipublic purposes according to a
specific plan of development indicating
specific locations for various land uses,
open space, community facilities and internal
traffic circulation system."
SECTION 2: That Paragraph (1) of Subsection B.
Requirements and Standards of Approval of Section I. Planned
Unit Development of Article VIII. Supplementary Regulations be
amended to read as follows:
"(1) A parcel which is proposed for a
planned unit development must contain a
minimum land area of one (1) contiguous acre
in single ownership at the time an
application is made for planned unit
development zoning approval."
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
