AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF " AN UNNAMED STREET LYING NORTH OF AND ABUTTING~.: '"" ACADEMY MANOR SUBDIVISION AND LYING BETWEEN AIRPORT BOULEVARD AND SMITH AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the owners of that certain real property abutting that portion of an unnamed street lying North of and abutting Academy Manor Subdivision and lying between Airport Boulevard and Smith Avenue, applied to the City of Sanford, Florida, their application to have said property closed, vacated and abandoned; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 28, 1986, for consideration and determination as to whether or not the closing, vacating and abandoning of that certain portion should be allowed; and WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the closing, vacating and abandoning of that certain property does not conflict with the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Sanford, Florida, and that the public health, economy, comfort, order, convenience, and welfare will be promoted by such closing, vacating and abandoning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: Section 1: That a portion of an unnamed street lying North of and abutting Academy Manor Subdivision and lying between Airport Boulevard and Smith Avenue, more particularly described as follows: That certain 30' unnamed street lying South of and abutting property described as follows: From the SW corner of Section 26, Township 19 South, Range 30 East, Seminole County, Florida, run N. 00°05'29'' East, along the West line of said Section 26; a distance of 15.00 feet, thence run N. 89o42'07" East, and along the South line of Lot 73, M. M. SMITH'S SUBDIVISION, according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 55, of the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida, 424.88 feet for a POINT OF BEGINNING, thence continue North 89o42'07" East, 891.37 feet to the SE corner of Lot 78 said M. M. SMITH'S SUBDIVISION, thence run North 00o26'26" West, along the East line of Lot 78 a distance of 551.34 feet to the South Right-of- Way line of McCracken Road, thence run South 81o34'29'' West, along Right-of-Way I"~,B98~.
