1793 ORDINANCE NO. 1793
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 17 MOTOR VEHICLES AND
TRAFFIC OF THE CITY CODE BY ADDING
SUBSECTION 17-31 PROVIDING FINES FOR PARKING
VIOLATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, PROVIDING SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS
AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Chapter 17 - Motor Vehicles and Traffic
of the Sanford City Code be and is hereby amended to add Section
17-31 as follows:
Fines for parking violations within the City of
Sanford, Florida shall be imposed in the following manner:
a) $25.00 for unauthorized parking in a handicapped
space designated as such;
b) $25.00 for unauthorized parking in a fire lane
designated as such;
c) $5.00 for all other parking violations.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitu-
tional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
